CQSRG (pronounced CQ Surge) has been researching the earthquake seismicity of Eastern Central Queensland since it began operation in 2002.
CQSRG's Lead Research Seismologist is Mike Turnbull BAppSc(Dist) QUT, MAppSc CQU, C.Dec.
Mike has a degrees as Bachelor of Applied Science with Distinction from the Queensland University of Technology (1991), (majoring in Physics and Mathematics), and Master of Applied Science by research and thesis in the seismology of Central Queensland from the Central Queensland University (2002).
Mike's Master's research thesis is titled A Seismic Hazard Assessment and Microzonation of Bundaberg
The research conducted at CQSRG is oversighted by seismologist Dr Kevin McCue BSc(Hons) ANU, DIC Imperial College of Science & Technology, MPhil London University, FIEAust.
Kevin is on the CQUniversity Australia staff as an Honorary Professor.
